Vårsoppa / Spring Soup 2013

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

We have found a great location for the Spring Soup this year. It’s only 1 minute from the Trax station on 2100 S.
This is a great event to get to know some people as this is a smaller event. It is not a traditional Swedish occasion, but an event we have organized for many, many years. It’s always much appreciated. If you want to get to know people, helping out by volunteering at the event is always a great way to meet people. If you would like to make a soup, please let us know ASAP!

Spring activity

Date: Saturday, March 23
Time: 6 PM
Location: K2 The Church
193 West 2100 South
South SLC

This is one of our favorite activities all year! Come and enjoy our soup buffet (pea soup, potato soup & nettle soup, just to mention a few), limpa bread & knäckebröd with cheese, etc. Semlor is the traditional dessert. The tables will be beautifully decorated with påskris (traditional Easter decoration – birch twigs w/ feathers). Door prices!

If you can’t stay and enjoy the food and good company, you’re still welcome to come and shop. Our “Swedish Store” will be open from 5:15-6 PM and again from 7PM – closing. We will sell Easter eggs, like the one above, in different sizes. We are loaded with Marabou chocolates and several variety of cheese.
Tickets are $6/adult and $5/child 3-12.
Members of Swedish Heritage receive a discounted price – $4/adult & $3/child 3-12.
